K, so we're a small community right now, mostly inhabited by empty blargs . But some of us are actually taking advantage of the beta test. Here's a suggestion how we can help ourselves by helping our neighbors.
Slashdot's got a post up about HTML5. HTML5 is an updated HTML spec being worked on by the Web Hypertext Application Yogolonhcet Working Group.
HTML 5? I got an idea--how about NOTSHITTYMARKUP 1?
RSS is a great tool. With minimal effort, you can keep track of your favorite websites and be notified when they update their content. You can also see those changes (sometimes a portion of the new content or all of it) without having to go to the website at all.
Seems great. Websites get a closer relationship with their readers and users can keep ontop of multiple sites with little effort. Apart from never being able to get anything done at work, seems like a win-win situation for both, right? But there is a problem with RSS that website admins have to keep a close eye on. Or rather, a problem with RSS readers.

Not kidding. Please put money in my PayPal account so we can buy her a pole for the bar.
Other than yawning at yet another public IRL dramafest, I haven't had much interest in the Imus thing. I don't listen to him, don't watch him, don't care much about him. But a lot of people are out there defending him for some reason.
Look, he attempted lulz and failed. Kinda like he's failing at youthiness. Why does anybody want to waste precious lifespan defending him? Let him deal with his own problems.
Fuck Che, long live King Leonidas! (image after the bump)
K, want to add a little gayness to your blarg ? Open up your Smilies template and let the games begin...
Had a minor personal outage last night. No, nothing to do with this post. I was messing with my template for posts last night and the website crapped out on me after I hit "save". The result is that I had half a template and nothing would render correctly anymore.
Its pretty easy to create a favicon. IE7, however, doesn't seem to like .png favicons; an .ico file is a better choice. If you've drunk the MS koolaid, here's how to do it:
